Site Concept
Welcome to our new site! CatComm is partnering with other online platforms in our effort to help local communities access global knowledge networks. This collaborative effort will help hundreds of organizations gain visibility for their projects and access the work of their peers around the world.
How are we doing this? This website and our revised organizational strategy break with past approaches. This new site houses our institutional information and staff- and volunteer-produced blogs. But rather than working to centralize information on our own website by constantly developing new technology, we are now free to use the best of what the Internet offers (click on the icons below to join):
WiserEarth where you can search, follow and get involved directly with our community partners on-the-ground. We’ve transferred all of our interactive community functionality – including our Community Solutions Database, discussion groups and more – to WiserEarth.
Facebook where you can follow our international work or work in Rio and spread the word. We are actively using Facebook and Orkut to dialogue with our diverse members, all in the interest of growing the access of local communities to global networks.
Orkut where you can follow our local work in Rio and spread the word.
Twitter where you will receive all updates on our latest actions and results. We are using Twitter to centralize all the latest happenings and breakthroughs online and off in one easy-to-access place in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
RSS where you can subscribe to our various information feeds.
